Tck, tck, tck

Don't miss the website of the campaign Time for Climate Justice, an iniciative created on the build up for the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference to take place in Copenhagen, in December.
It brings together people from around the World, to become the clock that is ticking for our common future. A group of over 60 reknown international artists came up with a new version of the classic "Beds are Burning" by the eighties group Midnight Oil, allerting people for the perils of climate change. It includes a few words by Nobel Peace Prize laureates Kofi Annan and Desmond Tutu. See the brilliantly made video here:

Tck, tck, tck
Climate change is having a real impact in the lives of individuals and comunities around the World. We must do something about it. In December, in Copenhagen, our leader will have an opportunity to come up with a robust post-climate agreement, that is viable and will help make this planet a better place. (Former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan)

Down at the river bed
The earth is cracked and dry instead
Farms are failing, cities baking
Steam in 45 degrees

The time has come
To take a stand
It’s for the Earth
It’s for our land
The time has come
A fact’s a fact
The heat is on
No turning back

How can we dance when our Earth is turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?

How can we dance when our Earth is turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?

The time has come
To take a stand
It’s for the Earth
It’s for our land

Heaven hopes we’ll find a cure
From Bejing west to Timbuktu
The global village lives and breathes
In 45 degrees

The time has come
To take a stand
It’s for the Earth
It’s for our land
The time has come
A fact’s a fact
The heat is on
No turning back

How can we dance when our Earth is turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?

How can we dance when our Earth is turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?

The time has come
To take a stand
It’s for the Earth
It’s for our land
The time has come
A fact’s a fact
The heat is on
No turning back

How can we dance when our Earth is turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?

How can we dance when our Earth is turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?

I support the campaign for climate justice an I am pleased to become a climate ally. This is your campaign. (Bishop Desmond Tutu)
